The famous Helen Keller, who was blind and deaf, was asked one time what could be worse than to have no sight? She said,
“To have sight, but to have no vision.”
A scripture that talks about this very same thing is found in Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” 
If I was to think about the times that I found myself running in circles and not making the progress in life that I had hoped for, those times would be when I did not have a clear vision of what I am trying to accomplish.
We think in pictures
We all know that goals need to be written down….but our mind thinks in pictures. If I told you that I wanted to buy a red car, you would not think of the words, you would picture in your 
mind a RED car….and while we are at it, let’s just make that a convertible. Your hearing the words, but your mind is creating a picture.
That is why making a vision board adds clarity to your dreams and desires by allowing you to see them. A Vision board helps you to concentrate and focus on your specific life goals. Basically, it keeps your attention on your intentions.
The power of vision happens when you surround yourself with images of your vision. These images causes your dream to become more alive inside you. Having a board to look at throughout the day has kept me in a continual stay of progression.

- prioritizing your goals
- obtaining clarity in your life purpose
- building your faith in God’s ability to perform the impossible
- boosting your confidence and self-esteem
- reminding you of your mission.
Living in a day and time where we are surrounded by ongoing negative messages that life will never get any better, your vision board will serve as a visual reminder of where you are headed. It will keep you focused and continuing to be creative, when you are tempted to 
give up. It stands as a visual reminder to be single-minded and full of faith.
It is not that the board itself that causes your dreams to
magically appear; it’s what the realization and clarity of your dreams does for you that makes it “work”.
