A creative practice of Art & Faith Journaling to breath Hope into each day.
Our thoughts are like seeds that when we give them our attention, they begin to grow.
What kind of garden are you nurturing?
Why Did You Create heART Journeys?
I have a daily practice of focusing my mind on uplifting thoughts. I read scripture and I find other positive messages. When you find words that make you think and feel good…you want to share. That is what gave birth to heART Journeys. I offer it as a separate, bonus section of our membership to any members that are interested.
Let me share this weeks message
The Importance of a single Thought
One simple thought, small and insignificant, could be compared to a mustard seed. They both appear so unimportant, but when given attention and feed, both have the potential to develop into something very large. The mustard plant has been known to grow in height up to 15 feet; pretty amazing, all that from such a tiny seed. One thought has build nations, or brought on war.
Each thought creates a chemical reaction which we know as an emotion. We physically feel our thoughts and we project these thoughts through emotions.
A personal mission of mine is to help others through creative expression and faith journaling, create an environment within that nurtures their physical and mental health.
In ❤️ heART Journeys we use creativity to journal for encouragement, and scripture pondering, and all those things that speak to our heart.. A process to feed our souls as we wait upon the Master Gardener to make an increase in our garden.
As it says in Corinthians 3:6 (KJV), “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.”
In the scriptures, God teaches us just how important and powerful our thoughts are. For example, Mark 23:7
“All these evil things come from within, and defile the man..”
Proverbs 23:7. “For all he thinkers in his heart, so is he….”
First Things First…
The easiest way to stop your inner critic is to not compare yourself to others, or allow others to evaluate your work. Your personal expressions are just that…personal.
Take charge of your thoughts, and direct your thoughts in a creative way that will strengthen your relationship between you and Jesus Christ.
