My Story – When I realized something had to change

My Turning Point

 

My heart breaks when I think of what that letter might have said….but I was too emotionally spent, with a new born struggling with neurological complications and being a mother to 5 others who needed me emotionally…..I became over-reactive rather than calm and responsive.

When you make the time to feel good, You make others feel Great!

Every Action starts with a THOUGHT….which creates an attitude that effects your response to every situation.  Over 75% of what we do each day is done unconsciously, meaning it is a habit.  A response that has become so automatic that we don’t have to stop and think about it. Do you stop and think about which leg you put into your pants first every day?  No,  you don’t stop to think about whether to put the right or the left, you just do it.  These actions have become unconscious…. A Habit !

Ever wonder why you keep having the same problems over and over?  You can be addicted to the emotions produced by these problems keeping you stuck in a mode of repeat.  What’s the cause?  Habits, behaviors & mental programming are responsible for these experiences.

These unconscious thoughts which produce habits are the underlying culprit  to people  becoming more and more frustrated…. Goals are never met; Children struggle academically and emotionally, relationships are strained.  Add on top of that frustration the stresses we face daily, or unexpected traumatic events, and our reasoning power becomes hijacked by an emotional overload.  Our health begins to suffer and relationships begin to fall apart.  Just as an unintentional spark can turn into a raging fire, so will these Negative habits destroy a persons hopes and dreams.

Here is something YOU CAN DO now….

Go ahead and ask yourself…….“How successful am I at really expressing myself ?”      “What is my automatic response to stress?  Is it annoyance, impatient, frustration?”,  “Does my temper flair?”, “Do I feel at times depressed, shut-down, unresponsive?”  These can all be indicators of stress overload.

A few simple steps you can take right now…

  • Create an Attitude of Gratitude for All experiences… Simply strive to recognize some greater understanding that you can acquire form your experiences.  This creates the quickest path to Real Resilience.
  • Take Positive Action by “letting-go” of old stories that paint a picture of failure,
  • Take intentional action to focus on the Steps to Create Extraordinary health, not just physically but also emotionally.
 
Change comes only, when you have the Courage to try something different …to desire something different then what is currently happening. One slight shift in a thought, a perception, an action, no matter how small, sends out a ripple effect that has the potential to make a HUGE difference!

So “BE THE CHANGE” that creates that ripple.
