There was a time when I was de-railed by excessive worry and fears.
I thought I was Super-woman, with the strength and ability to handle all things. I thought I was present for my children, I was taking care of all of their needs….or was I? It took a tragedy in my life to help me refocus, and get back on a healthy, calm and peaceful track.
I want to talk with you more than woman to woman; I want to talk with you sister to sister.
These are thoughts I would share with my daughter to steer of negative emotions of judgement or guilt.
Today more than ever, women are finding themselves needing to step out into the workforce. One check struggles to handle the costs of raising a growing family, not to mention those unplanned changes and situations. Slipping ever so quickly away is the luxury of a woman, who can completely be a stay-at-home mom, focusing and using her innate gift to nurture and offer care.
The thought of leaving her children is an issue that weighs heavy on a woman’s hearts;
but so does her need to feel a sense of growth and accomplishment in other areas of her life. These feelings, which you might think are hidden, create a confusing push-pull emotion. You are not the only one who is feeling these signals, everything that passes through you, passes onto your children. There minds are quick and keen, and even thought unaware of what is happening on a conscious level, they too feel this sense of disturbance and unsettlement on an emotional and physical level.
How is that possible? Scientist are teaching us that each thought creates a chemical duplication of that thought. So for example, when you think of something scary, there is a matching chemical created in the brain, sending signals that you can feel throughout your whole body. These chemicals become stored within the tissues and cells, giving us evidence that our thoughts are alive.
Children are perceptive and sensitive to their surroundings.
They are like little mini radio towers picking up on every message frequency that is being transmitted. Your children sense your concerns, worries and fears; yet they are not aware that these emotions do not belong to them. Add this element to their own daily pressure and we begin to see more and more children dealing with high levels of anxiety and depression.
Clearing out your emotions, becomes a number one priority to stop these energetic messages
from being interpreted in the wrong way. Have you ever had your little one ask you, “Mommy are you mad at me?” Or “What’s wrong mommy, did I do something wrong?” Perhaps they don’t ask the questions, but you notice that there is a change in their behavior. Unconsciously their thoughts are speaking to them, “Something must be wrong with me if mommy is nervous and upset.”
Now I am not a Child Psychologist, but I have raise six children of my own. My knowledge comes from personal experience and many years of seeking answers to our own challenges and problems. I now understand how the unspoken signals send powerful messages that create havoc affecting ones moods and physical health. So let me share with you a piece of advice……don’t wait, clear your emotions daily.
It has been my experience that for an emotion to lift, the mind must feel a sense of resolve. Music has the ability to create this resolve, as certain notes and sounds that are played, begin to match the attending emotion. Through this match of sound the mind seems to receive the needed acknowledgment, which lends a sense of satisfaction and permission to let-go.
Tips of what I do….
.I alternate the music of Serene Tones and Comfort throughout the week. My choice of cd depends on whether I am lifting daily stress or seeking to find deep resolve and make a positive, transformational change. Many times when I am choosing to let go of hurt feelings, or intense struggles, all I have to do is listen to the first track of Comfort and I can feel a calming peace come over me.
Finding time to listen is never a problem because I simply play either one in the background as I go about the daily tasks. I have also enjoyed the powerful benefits of coupling music with other natural health practice like Essential Oils, meditation, and breathing techniques.
After receiving feedback from Parents who were having great results from having their children listen to Serene Tones as they are going to sleep, I too began the practice of playing it at night to help my children release their stress from school and daily social pressures.
My key message to you, is
be aware of the unspoken messages that flow form your attitude and energy right to your children. The best answer is to take care of yourself daily. Such a simple process that yields great results. Now that you are focused on new goals for the year, this is a great time to form this positive habit that will ensure a difference, not only in your health and outlook on life, but also the attitude and health of your priceless family.
