Emotions are the very fuel that ignite the mind of a person to live inspired, to achieve something, to go for that dream! They will also partner up with every element that will drowned out all that is good, bringing a sense of hopelessness to drive away our ability to be creative and productive.
For the sake of simplicity, I will divide emotions into two categories (positive/negative). And each category is the polar opposite for the other. For example, love/hate, cherish/abandon, criticize/praise, inspire/discourage, apathy/enthusiasm.
One might think of emotions like the drops of dew on a leaf, seemingly insignificant by themselves. Yet, each sparkling, succulent drop adds life through its nurturing properties, or death when magnified to extreme, intense temperatures by the sun.
Where do emotions come from? Each thought that enters the mind must receive permission to stay. This permission is granted when one makes the choice to allow the thought to pass through a point in the mind, named by science, as “Free Will“.
Once the decision to enter has been made, the mind begins to manufacture a chemical to represent this thought, and a place of residence is located. With each return visit this thought is allowed to become a more permanent resident and active participant in energizing the reaction or response to daily situations
So bottom line….thoughts that lift, encourage, support, inspire, nurture, comfort, appreciate, recognize, generally any thought that moves one to be happy and productive are considered “positive”, life-giving thoughts. They are bright, lighter in feeling and increasing in energy. They form what looks like trees, thoughts branches that illuminate our potential feeding us the ability to imagine and explore.
Thoughts that focus around a concern, worry, fear, a dislike, critical, confused, indecisive, insecure, resistance, taking offense, argumentative, callus, depressed, apathetic, etc., are “negative”, non-productive thoughts. These too form trees, branches that are twisted and distorted, covered with thorns filled with a chemical that eventually pickles the body bringing on a form of “death” to any and all attempts towards a productive, prosperous life.
The process is for the emotion (chemical) to travel throughout the body giving out its orders. Each cell, organ and gland that receives the information begins to resonate, vibrating and matching the energetic information. Now this thought has come alive giving us a whole body experience.
These emotionally charged thoughts, either positive or negative become the “emotional pulls” (the needs) which take center stage in our mind. Therefore, the strongest, most focused type of thought will produce the way we “feel” for the day.
Stop and imagine the impact, that passion, the potential for good that a person might have who has taken the initiative, through self-care, to satisfy these emotional pulls within themselves. What type of impact would this individual create? How would knowing these skills help to encourage themselves first, and then reach out to others?
Can you imagine a change for good that could come over a family, a community, a continent, all starting from an individual proficient in amplifying their personal skills and abilities? And what if their example, their energetic presence had the magnitude to encourage and awaken others, to enliven and unlock their inner wealth, what kind of world this be?
Stop and Imagine yourself being this strong force that encourages the potential of others. Wow, I believe in all the good we can do and all the Great we can create! Do You?
