A mothers peace can be shaken as she watches her once, young and energetic child step out into an ever changing world being carved out by their daily choices. A mother recognizes the importance of agency; however, that does not seem to stop the weight barring emotion of worry that clings to her heart and cripples her mind. We have all been there with someone we love.
Some call this concern, love, caring……. I call it like it is – health robbing worry!
This worry and ever going fear robs a woman of her happiness. A message was once given which stated, “the happiness of a mother in Zion is directly related to the faithfulness of the least devoted child….WE don’t believe the Lord will pull them through. Where is our faith?”
What is faith? And why does it seem show up at certain times in our lives and then at other times we feel completely void?
Two components of faith, both requiring a certain attitude and ability to listen – a training of our mind.
- Faith enough to be obedient – to follow through with something even when you have no proof. This type of faith requires the attitude of commitment and trust. The strength to heed those who have experience and understanding. A desire to follow heavenly direction and not be distracted by the other signals being sent out in life. I once read that the great ship Titanic would not have sunk to its death if the look-out officer had payed closer attention and heeded immediately the signals sent from the look-outs tower. He was distracted and did not pay attention. Life can bring about so many distractions.
- Faith from within. This one comes from a deep inner feeling of knowing that God lives and who you are. This faith is obtained by study of His word and conversations of prayer. Giving room in your heart for His great gift offered to us through the Atonement of Jesus Christ – an actual power that will heal and lift our lives.
A beauty tip that will beautify and bring youthfulness to every woman is …. BELIEVE in that POWER. Practice obedience to His words as He said, “Fear not….” Paint it on a wall, cross-stick it on a pillow, plaster it on your mirror. What great words! – FEAR NOT!
I have heard that FEAR NOT is in the bible 365 times…if that is true, (I have not counted), there is exactly one for every day of the year! And there is enough for everyone so go ahead and use them.
