“The good life is not easily achieved. It is the result of a lifetime of dreaming, hoping, striving, accepting, adjusting and achieving. Faith in God, in others, in life itself helps us in those moments of doubt when our faith in ourselves is shaken by the realities of existence. But without the moments of despair our ultimate triumphs would be robbed of their deepest satisfactions.”
“The old, yet profound story, is told of a girl that went to a concert, and as she enjoyed the experience she was convinced she wanted to become like the pianist. After the concert was over she went to the man and said, “I would give my whole life to be able to play like that.” The man was quoted to reply, ‘That is exactly what I have given.”
Dreaming is fairly easy to achieve; but HOPING … that is where we often get stuck. We often allow ourselves to become lost in those moments of despair.
